Marc Aramian was diagnosed with throat cancer on June 30, 2022. He will go back for more testing to see if it has spread to other areas. Please pray for Marc and his wife, Veronica DiPippo, for peace during this time of uncertainty and endurance during the treatment ahead.
Marc and his wife Veronica, who are filmmakers, joined the parish in 2021 after moving to Chattanooga. This past year, Marc set up the new Hearing Assistance system in our church. Marc and Veronica recently produced a pro-life film for Tennessee Right to Life, and they are currently working on a full-length documentary on Fr. Patrick Ryan to support his Cause for Sainthood.
Update 8/5/22: Marc has finished his third week of chemotherapy for throat cancer, and it is getting rough. He still has four weeks to go. He and his wife Veronica appreciate your prayers for his endurance as he struggles through this rigorous treatment.
Update 7/24/22: Marc's first week of chemo has gone reasonably well with nausea as to be expected. Marc and Veronica are leaning on this Sunday's Gospel from Luke 11: 1-13: "For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." Please join them in "knocking" in prayer.
Update 7/8/22: Marc saw the oncologist. His Cancer is Stage 1 with a very good prognosis. He will undergo brutal chemo and radiation for seven weeks. Of concern are several potential long-term side effects, particularly the loss of swallowing. His treatment will begin July 18.
