Missing and Checked Out Books (8/13/24)


You are welcome to keep checked out books for up to three weeks.

Lorelei's Library is set up on the shelves in the hallway next to the church, near the Ombrellino Gift Shop. Titles include secular, religious, and non-fiction books appropriate for children and enjoyable for adults.

Using the Library

Lorelei's Library is set up on the shelves in the hallway next to the church, near the Ombrellino Gift Shop.  Titles include secular, religious, and non-fiction books appropriate for children and enjoyable for adults. Parishioners are welcome to check out books and also to help re-shelve the books. Please follow the simple instructions below:

To check out:

Please remove card in back of book.
Write your name and date on it.
Drop card in box.

To return:

Drop books in basket.
Please limit checkout to 
one book per person at a time 
and
return books when finished 
(within 3 weeks). 

To re-shelve books:

Find matching card in box, and put it back in book.
Find the shelf for the age/category noted on the card.
Place book on the shelf in alphabetical order by title.
Please keep series books together.

With your cooperation, we can keep this library for years to come.

 

Friendly Requests:

• Please return books within 3 weeks.
• PARENTS, please write in your own name and phone number LEGIBLY on the checkout card so that we can follow up with you if needed. (Small children's writing can be difficult to read, and our volunteers don't always know which parent to follow up with, especially if the child only writes his/her first name. A phone number will help us.)
• If your child takes some books out to look at, please kindly put them back in the right place (by category and title).
• THANK YOU for your help so that everyone can find and enjoy the books! 

 

Book List and Opportunity to Donate

Many books have been donated to the library by friends and homeschool groups who knew Lorelei. The hope is to periodically refresh the library with new books. 
If you would like to donate a book to Lorelei's Library, please bring it to the parish office. We will gratefully accept books that are in new or very good condition.
