The Basilica of Sts. Peter & Paul will be having a Memorial Mass on Saturday, April 26 at 2pm for babies lost to abortion. This Mass is not just for women who have had abortions. It is also for fathers, grandparents, siblings, or any family member grieving the loss of a loved one due to an abortion. The purpose of this Mass is peace, healing, reconciliation, and closure. There will also be an opportunity for participants to say a few words on the theme of repentance and hope. After Mass, you will have the option to travel to the National Memorial for the Unborn, 6230 Vance Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421, for a ceremony honoring these children led by Fr. David Carter.Many who come to the Memorial wish to honor their children with a plaque on the Wall of Names. By valuing the brief life of the unborn child with a permanent memorial in a place of dignity and respect, the National Memorial for the Unborn assists in moving from pain and guilt to forgiveness and restoration in Jesus. This unique place features a fifty-foot granite wall with thousands of brass name plates. If you would like to honor your unborn family member with a brass plaque, please go the memorialfortheunborn.org website and order one. The turnaround time for ordering is 8 weeks. If you order before February 27, you will receive your plaque by the time we have this Mass.If you are interested in additional help, the Memorial for the Unborn networks with many organizations both local and national that offer a variety of healing formats such as in-person and online studies, small groups, Bible studies, retreats, and private counseling. They encourage everyone who has experienced the
