Bishop Stika asks that a special collection be taken up at our Masses the weekend of August 28 in support of relief aid for Haiti following the deadly 7.2 magnitude earthquake on August 14. This earthquake, which was twice as powerful as the one that struck in 2010, has killed hundreds if not thousands or more. The dire humanitarian crisis has only been made worse by the political crisis the country has experienced in the wake of the assassination of its president a month ago that has created a leadership vacuum. So your generosity is greatly needed to help with Haiti’s relief aid and efforts to help the country to rebuild. Let us keep the people of Haiti in our prayers and help as we can. Thank you.
