Downtown Youth Ministry Hike with Fr. Carter at the new Walden's Ridge Park on Signal Mountain

Downtown Youth Ministry is going on a HIKE with Fr. Carter
Sat., Nov. 4 from 10am-1pm. All 6th through 12th graders are invited. Parents can join the hike or drop kids off at Walden's Ridge Park Upper Parking Lot at 10am, and pick them up at 1pm.

Where

We will be hiking the new “W trail” at Walden's Ridge Park on Signal Mountain, which just opened this fall! We will hike the W Road trail to the Falls Creek Connector, and the Walden Falls trail. Falls aren't visible but this secluded woodland trail features boulders and beautiful fall foliage.

It is an easy short trail without much elevation gain, for a total of about 90 minutes of walking.

During the hike, we take a break for lunch and a lesson with Fr. Carter, and return back to the trailhead in time by 1pm or a few minutes earlier.  

The best address for the trailhead at the Upper Parking lot, where we will meet, is:
4232 W Rd, Signal Mountain, TN 37377

Note about getting there: GPS is recommended. From the W Road, you have to turn off to a gravel road that is not clearly marked. GPS will guide you. 

 

Hikers:

• BRING a sack lunch and water.
• Wear sturdy shoes for hiking.
• If the weather shows possible rain, bring some form of rain gear. 
• Be sure you have RSVP'ed and turned in your permission forms.
