Patricia Pinson Woods, who was a lifetime member of Sts. Peter and Paul, died on January 5, 2021. A funeral Mass will be held for Patricia on May 6, at 11:00 am at St. Jude Catholic Church. On March 17, 2021, Fr. Carter interviewed Nathan Bird, a Basilica parishioner who is engaged in understanding local politics, and the founder of the Chattanooga Civics website and podcast. Pope Francis has called for a Year of St. Joseph beginning Dec. 8, 2020, “in which all faithful, after his example, may daily reinforce their own life of faith in complete fulfillment of God’s will.” Through the Apostolic Penitentiary the Holy Father has extended a series of plenary indulgences centered around devotion to St. Joseph. The St. Ambrose Catholic Homeschool Co-op is hosting an informal get-together at Riverview Park in Chattanooga on Friday, May 14th at 11:00 am. Bring your own snacks, bring a friend or two, and enjoy the company of fellow Catholic families. All ages are welcome, and membership in the co-op is not required.
