About the Book Club
The Book Club is an eduational and social ministry of the Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul. We normally meet every week for discussion of a book that pertains to aspects of our Catholic Faith.
As of December 2020, Book Club meetings are currently suspended.
During normal times, we meet Wednesday mornings at 7:45 am to 9: 00 am in Varallo Parish Hall, following the 7 am Mass and Morning Prayer in the church.After being on break for most of 2020, on Wednesday, October 14, we began discussing Anthony Esolen’s translation of Dante’s Inferno.

The edition of the book linked is particularly important for people to purchase as it includes the Catholic writings from Esolen in the appendices.
We discussed the introduction, 1st canto, and appendix on the 1st canto during the October 14 meeting.
On October 21, We will be discussing cantos 5-8 and Esolen’s corresponding notes.Contact Us

Our 2021-22 Annual Stewardship Appeal is beginning. This appeal is to support the regular operation of our parish through Offertory giving. It is separate from the Under One Roof campaign to replace our aging roof and heating & air conditioner systems.
