Docents Needed to Lead Basilica Tours

As a parish enjoying the title of ‘minor Basilica’, we accept the gift of sacred art and architecture of our church. We have a responsibility to share this gift with our local community and visitors. We receive many requests for tours from schools and other groups of pilgrims, and our priests are not able to accommodate all of them personally.

We are looking for more parishioners to serve as docents and offer tours to visitors. Training will be provided.
 

Training

• Fr. Carter offered an initial training Saturday, April 6 at 3pm in the Basilica. Another training for additional volunteers is being planned. 
• Please watch Fr. Carter's Virtual Tour of the Basilica to begin learning about giving tours  of the Basilica. 
• Docents will also need to be certified under the Diocese's Safe Haven program.
